Water Polo Canada Men’s National Team all set for Movember 2017

Water Polo Canada (WPC) Men’s National Team athletes are taking part in Movember once again this year. Movember is a movement that was created by two Australians back in 2003 in order to make an impact on men’s health. By growing moustaches throughout the month of November, them men will rally to support the cause and raise awareness on men’s health issues.

It has become a tradition for WPC’s men’s national team program, every year athletes training at the National Training Centre in Calgary grow moustaches to raise funds to change men’s health. This year a total of 19 athletes will participate in the campaign.

“As athletes on the National Team we are extremely fortunate to be healthy enough to play the sport that we love for a living. Movember is a great way for our team to give back and raise some money to make a positive impact on men's health. It's become a bit of a tradition over the past years amongst the team and we always have lots of fun growing our moustaches throughout November. We greatly appreciate any support and donations received for this project and are looking forward to making a difference!” said the project instigator David Lapins of men’s national team.
