She fell in love with the sport after realizing the true nature of the sport, quickly progressing to the elite level with the Pacific Storm Water Polo Club, clinching a National Championship in 2011. After graduating from Seaquam Secondary School in 2014, she continued her passion at the University of Southern California (USC), securing NCAA Championships in 2016 and 2018. One of her standout moments was Senior Day, marked by an exceptional performance. “I had the best game of my life. One of those games when everything seems to go your way”, she said. Hayley graduated in 2018 with a degree in Health and Human Sciences. Fascinated by the sport's flow and fast-paced nature, Hayley cherishes the camaraderie and split-second decision-making it demands. Following University, Hayley played professional water polo in Italy, representing Rari Nantes Florentina and Ekipe Orizzonte before competing in the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, where her team finished 7th. In the 2022/23 season, she showcased her skills with Plebiscito Padova. Hayley's deep affection for Italian cuisine and culture reflects her years spent immersed in the country's water polo scene. Outside the pool, she prioritizes personal growth, exploring mindfulness and positive self-talk. She can also be found reading and always makes sure she has her e-reader when she travels. With aspirations to transition into coaching and teaching post-retirement, Hayley remains focused on her ultimate goal: winning a medal at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

En dehors de la piscine, elle donne la priorité au développement personnel, en explorant la pleine conscience et le dialogue positif avec soi-même. On peut également la trouver en train de lire et elle s'assure toujours d'avoir son lecteur électronique lorsqu'elle voyage. Aspirant à se reconvertir lors de sa retraite comme entraîneur et à enseigner, Hayley reste concentrée sur son objectif ultime : remporter une médaille aux prochains Jeux olympiques à Paris.
