| It was in 2004, at the age of 8, that Kindred Paul made the transition from swimming in the summer to water polo in the winter. At 16, the Spruce Grove native move to Calgary live with her grandmother and pursue her water polo aspirations. She then represented the Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Club. Two years later, in 2014, she won silver at the World Youth Championships. In 2015, she won silver at the Summer Universiade, in addition to finishing fourth at the World Junior Championships. She represented Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, her best memory thus far of her career, especially being a member of the team that brought Canada back to the Olympic Games tournament. Kindred says he loves the sport of water polo for the team and tactics aspects, as well as the speed of play. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of water polo players in Canada. She has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and will begin law school in fall 2024. Film photography and reading are among her hobbies. C'est en 2004, à l'âge de 8 ans, que Kindred Paul a fait la transition de la natation pendant l'été au water-polo l'hiver. À 16 ans, l'athlète originaire de Spruce Grove a déménagé avec sa grand-mère à Calgary afin de poursuivre son rêve en water-polo. Elle a par la suite représenté le club Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Club. Deux ans plus tard, en 2014, elle a remporté l'argent aux Championnats du monde de la jeunesse. En 2015, elle a mérité l'argent aux Universiades d'été, en plus de terminer au quatrième rang aux Championnats mondiaux juniors. Elle a représenté le Canada aux Jeux olympiques de Tokyo 2020, son meilleur souvenir jusqu'ici en carrière spécialement pour avoir fait partie de l’équipe qui a ramené le Canada au tournoi olympique. Kindred dit aimer le sport du water-polo pour les aspects d'équipe, tactique ainsi que pour la vitesse du jeu. Son objectif est d'inspirer la prochaine génération de joueurs de water-polo au Canada. Elle est graduée en études interdisciplinaires à l'université de la Californie, Berkeley, et débutera des études en droit à l'automne 2024.
