Water Polo Canada announces Women’s National Team roster for FINA World League Super Final

(Montreal, QC – May 30, 2019) – Water Polo Canada (WPC) is pleased to announce the Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming FINA World League Super Final to be held in Budapest, Hungary from June 4-9, 2019.

The Canadian women earned their spot into the Super Final by finishing fourth at the 2019 Intercontinental tournament in Perth, Australia last April. At the World League Super Final, they will compete in Group B alongside Russia, the United States, and Hungary. Group A will be composed of the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, and China.

"The Super Final is coming early in the season, and there is already a spot for the Olympics at stake. It will be an intense competition, with eight great teams and every game will bring its challenges. We will need to perform and keep in mind the objectives and the process that comes with such an important summer. The team has responded well to training so far, and we will need to continue at this level in the next few days." said Women's National Team Head Coach, David Paradelo.
