MISSION

Destination LA28 is Water Polo Canada’s fundraising initiative dedicated to powering our Senior National Teams toward Olympic qualification at the 2027 Lima Pan American Games - the gateway to qualify for the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

But this mission extends beyond a single event. It’s a collective effort to change the trajectory of Canadian water polo, now and into the future. Unite with us to redefine what’s possible!

 

WHY THIS MATTERS

While Water Polo Canada receives important government funding, it does not sufficiently cover what’s required to compete at the highest level.  To compete with the world’s best, our athletes need:

  • International competition opportunities
  • Athlete wellness & performance science
  • Coaching & technical leadership
  • High-performance training

Top water polo nations invest heavily in athlete development.  For Canada to reach this level, we must build on our current support and match that commitment with a bold, future-driven strategy.
