Ottawa, September 20, 2024 - Water Polo Canada (WPC) announced today that effective Monday, September 23, 2024, Joanne Mortimore, an experienced and longtime Canadian sports executive, will be joining Water Polo Canada to lead the organization’s operations until a full-time CEO is hired.

Joanne Mortimore brings more than two decades of experience in leadership roles with various Canadian sport organizations to WPC. She spent 20 years at Athletics Canada, where she was Director of Finance and Administration, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
