Canada beats Japan at the FINA Women World League Super Final

Canada beat Japan by a score of 16-10 this morning in Athens, Greece at the FINA Women World League Super Final.


Japan was a tenacious adversary but never put Canada’s control of the game in question after the first quarter. “Today was a complicated yet so simple game. We were a little shaky to start of the game but were able to grind through. Kudos to Japan that make you play the way they want. We were able to keep our composure and stay calm throughout,” told head coach David Paradelo after the game.

More than 10 players participated in the scoring: Monika Eggens (3), Emma Wright (2) Elyse Lemay-Lavoie (2), Hayley Mckelvey(2), Kyra Christmas(2), Axelle Crevier(1), Kelly Mckee (1), Kindred Paul (1), Shae La Roche (1), Gurpreet Sohi (1).

Jessica Gaudreault had the win in net for Canada.
