As a centre forward, has represented the Calgary Renegades Water Polo Club and San Jose State University. She won a silver medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and represented Canada at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships. In 2013, she took part in the FINA World Women's Junior Water Polo Championships and the World University Games. At the national level, she won multiple Canadian National Championships and coached for multiple Canadian clubs. Being part of a team is the aspect she loves most about water polo. Her goal is to go to the Olympic Games. Rae Lekness has a degree in Kinesiology from the San Jose State University.

En tant qu'avant-centre, elle a représenté le Calgary Renegades Water Polo Club et le San Jose State University. Elle a remporté une médaille d'argent aux Jeux panaméricains de Santiago 2023 et a représenté le Canada aux Championnats de World Aquatics 2024. En 2013, elle a participé aux Championnats du monde juniors de water-polo féminin de la FINA et aux Jeux mondiaux universitaires. Au niveau national, elle a remporté plusieurs championnats nationaux canadiens et a été entraîneure au sein de plusieurs clubs canadiens. Faire partie d'une équipe est l'aspect qu'elle aime le plus dans le water-polo. Son objectif est de participer aux Jeux olympiques. Rae Lekness a un diplôme en kinésiologie du San Jose State University.
